As the snow finally clears, a big thank you to all the many people who have helped out across High Peak in some of the worst conditions we have seen for several years.
From our emergency services, gritters and snow ploughs, transport staff and medical professionals who have all gone above and beyond to help those in need.
As well as farmers, 4×4 owners, snow shovelers and good neighbours who have all helped with warm hearts in cruelly cold weather.
To those who thought cars that had to be abandoned in the snow were a good opportunity for looting – you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Such bitter weather is a time when we all need to work together and I am proud of all the many people across High Peak who did so – thank you.
