Cuts facing High Peak schools

Of the 50 schools listed, Chapel High School is projected the have the largest reduction in its annual budget by 2020, losing £283,200.

Buxton Community and Glossopdale follow just behind this figure at £233,900 and £225,200 respectively.

Whaley Bridge Primary and Buxton Junior are estimated to be the worst non-Secondary schools hit, losing £50,700 and £50,100 respectively.

New Mills School and Sixth Form and St Thomas More are the two worst hit higher education schools in High Peak when it comes to per pupil funding.

New Mills School and Sixth Form stands to lose £377 per student, whilst St Thomas More stands to lose £346.

Castleton CofE and Thornsett are the two worst hit schools in the constituency by this measurement, losing £867 and £653 respectively.

Seven schools (14%) escape without cuts in these estimations. Gamesley Community Primary is the only non-secondary to lose more than 1 teacher, being forecast to lose 2. Every single higher education school (7) in High Peak is projected to have its budget cut, lose funding per pupil and lose teachers.
